My horse have had antibiotics, Banamine, annual shots and Bute if needed, they have been sedated to have their teeth floated etc. You obviously have no idea how Hanna Evergreen works. If Western medicine is not working or giving relief then she may suggest another method. I think that is great. Many MD's are now incorporating holistic/ natural medicine into their practice.

By the way, whatever happened to Dr. Bridges, who was your vet at one time? Did she stop coming after you didn't pay her? That is exactly what happened with Dr. Bridges. Gee, is she a quack, too? Is everybody who finally told Dean to pay her d**n bill a quack vet? OK I get it now...

Old Nelly - are you even READING the legal complaint? Do you not understand that two animals were so badly off they were euthanised on the spot?
If Dean is convicted, will you still stand there and pout that it's all lies?

Holistic wellness is the connection that any of us who are paying attention recognized in grade school. By definition for Nelly and the backseat hoarders:
Holistic health is a philosophy of medical care that views physical and mental aspects of life as closely interconnected and equally important approaches to treatment.
I wish you would share the identities of the three veterinarians who are standing up for PEC. Or have they requested anonymity?

On Pasado's website, they have updated their story to say that Dean contacted them and defended herself with a statement about the 3 vets. Pasado's asked to see their statements and she said they were released to her attorney. I read this to mean she has not divulged their identities. I am still assuming Dr. Emig is one of them.

From Pasado's:
Dean Solomon contacted Pasado's Safe Haven stating that she has three other veterinarians who disagree with the veterinarian reports used against her. When Pasado's asked Dean if we could see the reports, Dean reported that those veterinary records have been released to her lawyer to be given to the prosecutor. Monday, May 5th was a Conditions of Release hearing. King County Prosecutor asked that Dean not be able to keep animals pending the outcome of the case. The presiding judge heard the arguments from both sides and set the following conditions of release:
1. A cap of 33 total horses under the defendant's care/control on all properties (this is the current number she has) 2. Allow Animal Control and Code Enforcement unfettered access to her property and rental properties to inspect conditions and horses 3. Should an "emergency" rescue become necessary where the defendant feels she "needs" to save a horse, she must give notice to the State before acquiring the horse 4. Follow all city and county code regulations 5. Provide proof to the State of pasture seeding 6. Provide proof to the state of feed purchases 7. Provide proof of veterinary and Ferrier care of horses upon request
Hmmm, how long before 33 becomes 34, 35, 36.....

Don't take my head off, or call me names now...But have to ask you all...
Does any of these Vet's work side by side with a owner??..As in giving advise on how to care for or asst. with the care of a horse... We may be backward farmers, but our Vet's respect us and HELP us care for our animals...We can call any time of day, get meds as needed and support with what we're doing... When they do a home visit, all animals are seen (be it cats, dog, horses)...Is this a backward Vet or a caring one??...
Choose a Vet YOU can work with and allow others to do the same....
NOW you can call me what ever you want.....RESPECT others as you wish to be RESPECTED...

I have noticed that Vet care varies greatly even within the same clinic. I started having lameness issues with my gelding last Summer. My regular Vet who is a field vet and works out of his truck did not have the diagnostic tools to diagnose the problem. Off to the clinic and $1800 later we had a diagnosis. Unfortunately this Vet only looked at this one problem and not the entire horse.
Upon subsequent visits for treatment the main Vet at the clinic became our Vet as the first Vet left. He took one look at my horse and ordered a Thyroid Test and was very concerned about his cresty neck. Long story short my horse was a ticking time bomb with metabolic syndrome and after a frustrating 8 months he was humanely put to sleep last month after he had developed laminitis in all four feet. The Vet bills topped $6000.00 with treatments and diagnostics.
Had the last Vet been the first Vet we may have been able to save him.
So I guess what I am getting at is that Vet care is as varied as Medical Care.
