Well, Dean has sweet-talked of a lot of people. Otherwise she wouldn't ahave so much attention, good and bad.
My farrier told me he was warned about her by other farriers. He said he met her once and found her "charming".

Don't know who your farrier is but he/she certainly isn't one of mine. I don't owe any farrier money. I've fired a couple as I don't allow them to handle my horses rough. I've used Pam Beal and Pablo Verbera for years.
Cracks me up people post with no names. Just spout off a few he-said-she-said paragraphs.
Did you know that Senator Murray had an alien child? I read it on the internet in a forum. Must be true ;D
I won't even bother to respond to most of these post other than they are not the whole story or completely fabricated.

I won't even bother to respond to most of these post other than they are not the whole story or completely fabricated. So, again I'll ask - if these 'stories' are fabrications and half truths, would you care to provide the 'other side' and disprove these allegations? Instead of just sitting there just crying "it's all lies! Lies, I tell you!" offer up something to the contrary. You're not being censored here, and there is every opportunity to enlighten people of the "Truth", but sitting there thumbing your nose at people while the state seems to be building up a pretty hefty case isn't convincing anyone otherwise.

I am certainly not thumbing my nose at anyone. I won't talk about my court case as per our lawyer. It will be all brought out into the public and there is A LOT more to it than anyone on this forum knows about. I have nothing to hide. Never have. You have made your decision only hearing one side of the story. Wait till you see the other side if you want to be educated.

The Hoarder that I know thought that she had an arsenal of evidence in her favor too. She had an Vet testify for days as an expert Witness for the Defense and many witness testified that cast AC in a bad light. In the end the pictures of her matted dogs and the vivid description of the conditions in which the animals were housed convinced the jury that it was not a healthy environment for her animals. She ended up being convicted on some not all of the charges. It will be hard to explain the poor condition of the horses to a jury. These people are not necessarily horse people or animal people for that matter. They see things a little more black and white and without the emotion that we do. Then there is the Morocco incident, that won't look good to them either. So what happens in the end is that all the paid vet and feed bills or rehab success stories are overshadowed by the graphic pictures of the horses that are the basis of this case. It is hard to deny them their day in court, look at them, racks of lice infested bones, it is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. The Hoarder told me that her stay in the County Jail was the worst, from the baloney sandwiches, to having to sleep on the floor it was horrible, not to mention the scary people. It took that kind of an experience and the fear of going back to jail for her to get her hoarding under control.

Guess you'd rather sit and watch them be loaded on a truck to slaughter. Nice! The Prosecutor ISN'T charging anyone with a felony. They are looking at dropping the charges so I doubt YOU will be subpoenaed you dumb ass. How many have YOU saved lately? Walk the walk or shut the hell up. Personally I would rather see some of them euthanized (not necessarily slaughtered) than live with Dean. At least they wouldn't have to suffer if they were dead. I do walk the walk, and I will not shut up about hoarders and abusers.

It is hard to get AC to do much of anything in this state, let alone prosecute. I won't even bother to respond to most of these post other than they are not the whole story or completely fabricated.

Oh I would love to be educated on why the property was in the condition it was in and horses were forced to live in manure and mud. I would love to know why horses were sitting unhandled for months on end I would love to know why there were so many thin horses and horses with medical conditions living out there that went untreated. I can't wait until the "truth" comes out.

Your questions are fair and should be answered by Dean. As we patiently wait for that, I will go out on a very short limb and say they can all be answered the same way.
The obvious answer is that Dean acquired too many animals, got in way over her head and did not have the workforce or the funds to keep up with even the most basic of care.
However, what IMO has got so many of us upset is that someone who really cared about the animals would stop and ask for help. There certainly were enough people offering. Instead she continued for years causing needless suffering to so many animals. Not to mention the threats to those who questioned her (does anyone really need to ask why some people don't want to give her access to them?).
I don't know anyone that has listed their name here, I haven't corresponed with anyone here on this board and I would venture to say I haven't met most people here. Having said that, the stories here are strikingly similar to each other and to my own. How could we all conjure up the same bunch of lies?
When do we get to hear the "other side"?

Me too - And if that day ever should come to pass, where PEC is proven to be truely innocent, not only will I change my avatar to but I'll donate a month's pay (less rent) to PEC's charity of choice *- * like her past due farrier/feedstore/vet bill.

Hopefully the truth will all come out, and justice will be served for the innocent horses that had to be euthanaized. I know I wouldn't sleep well at night if I even thought I may have been partially responsible for one death, let alone the many that have died under PEC care or after being adopted by caring individuals that had to euthanize their horses on advice from a vet. I borrow the quote from one of the vets that supports Dean, and say that the casualties of these horses are part of war-- well, there should be no war for the horses to go through except for the good fight to regain health with loving care and a clean environment. Oh, yes, some horses rescued are in such bad shape they must be put down, but this should be done before the horse languishes in pain and sickness for months in the filth of muck filled overcrowded conditions. I certainly hope the prosecuter can stress the fact that some of these horses that were in horrible condition were not recent rescues but had lived there for quite some time, and the pictures of them upon arrival and after they were taken away tells a story that should back this up.
Maybe Dean thinks she "Walks the Walk"--but evidently didn't "Walk the Walk" pushing a manure cart . These animals did not even get good basic care. They may have been saved from the Killer trucks, but death still stalked them and claimed some of them. Rescuers such as Dean need to realize that a rescue doesn't just mean a save from the killers, a rescue means every day care, and every day feed, hay, water, and a good grooming once in a while. A safe, clean, dry environment, with a bit of shelter would also be neccessary for the well being of any animal.

From the WA courts database, there looks to be a pre-trial hearing set for September 5, 2008. Here they review evidence and see if it looks like enough to go to trial.
The AC vet I work with told me that hoarders generally push their cases all the way to a jury trial, while non-hoarder cruelty cases rarely do.
