I just checked the court website and even the scheduling conference has been continued. Guess that high priced lawyer of Dean's is earning his keep!

Typical! Just keep putting things off until the interest wanes. They're hoping people will forgetaboutit.

Normal procedure to get subpoenas and depositions done. This was done by the prosecution as they are now having problems putting together a case that will hold. Go figure.

Well, I've been patiently waiting for my subpoena and don't have it yet. I am under the impression that the prosecution is still collecting evidence. More people are still coming forward with statements and PHOTOS! How exciting! The prosecution wants to give people enough time to get all this done. Let's hope they put together a good case for felony charges...misdemeanor charges are merely a slap on the hand (or a pat on the back depending on how you look at it).
Meanwhile another auction date is coming closer. Let's hope the force is with us and the evil red head steers clear and isn't trying to hoard more horses this weekend.

Guess you'd rather sit and watch them be loaded on a truck to slaughter. Nice!
The Prosecutor ISN'T charging anyone with a felony. They are looking at dropping the charges so I doubt YOU will be subpoenaed you dumb ass.
How many have YOU saved lately?

Hey Dean, we always love hearing from you. Yeah, we'll sit back and watch the horses loaded up on the slaughter truck. Apparently that is what your husband plans to do with them after they lock you up. You'd better get rid of them now while you still have time.
You really don't know who you are dealing with here. You are not going to get out of this.
By the way, we feed our horses. In fact, they are mostly horses from PEC that were STARVING TO DEATH "under your care". Needless to say, it has cost thousands of dollars to get these horses to the point where they can be considered healthy, sound, and of normal weight. Everyday they thank me for saving them from you.

Walk the walk or shut the hell up. So why haven't you been doing this, Dean? Walking the walk means rescuing the horses then CARING for them responsibly. It means not getting in over your head and gathering horse after horse for the high it brings you, then letting them sit in dirty stalls and paddocks. It means rehabilitating them, assessing them, training them, and then placing them into responsible homes. It means doing all this quietly, without internet fanfare. You haven't "walked the walk." All you've done is hoard horses and then bask in artificial glory. Got news for you ---- your RO buddies are on to you. They are shrinking away quietly, in disgust. Morocco's Ghost

Moroccos Ghost -perhaps you should amend your statement to read "At least the rest of the world can see" as it seems that there are still a lot of people who are still aiding and abetting... *sighs* You (those who are hiding Dean's other horses) do realize that you aren't helping the horses themselves, and in the long run, making things far, far worse? The charges aren't going to dry up and blow away...

It took well over a year for the lady that I knew who was arrested for hoarding to go to trial. She kept thinking that it would go away and she would get her animals back. Animal Services adopted out all her dogs and cats, never to be seen again.
She had a good lawyer and many wittinesses that testified in her favor. In the end the photos were just too graphic and the numbers too great for the jury to ignore.
She ended up getting jail time and probation with a limit on how many animals she can have. In the long run it has helped her and the quality of her life.

Hindsight, that is the outcome I am truly hoping for. Not necessarily the jail time but a better life for Dean and the horses.

Yes, its true. I am a dumb ass. What did I do? I tried to help Dean out of the goodness of my heart. Others warned me not to do it. I figured "how bad can she be?" Well, I found out the hard way.
I'm a dumb ass.
